To think about the Christian Passover, we need to know about the Jewish Passover (Pesach). In Matthew 26: 17, the disciples of Jesus question: “Where will you have us prepare for you to eat the Passover?”. This is about the Pesach, where, with family and at table, celebrates the freedom of slavery from Egypt to Canaan, the Promised Land. It was precisely at table that Jesus, with his disciples, celebrate Easter, entitled as the Last Supper, to inaugurate a new meal, Eucharist.

Also at the centre of Christian Liturgy is the table (Altar). Not as accessory. She is the expression of definite gift to Humanity given by Jesus. It announces passion, death and the resurrection of Jesus, proclaiming its continuous presence within us, on bread and the wine. In this exhibition, we will learn more details about the origin of Christian Easter, its relation with Eucharist and its importance of the religious objects that integrate.
