Directed by film critic and historian Mark Cousins, this documentary is an object that builds itself through concentric circles, starting with the cinematographic essay, evolving into historical analysis and still having the time and space to leave us, in that tone of whispered theatricality that Cousins' voice has, the entire legacy for today of a central event that set the waters of history in motion: the rise of fascism, in its Italian version, that of Benito Mussolini (1883-1945), a dictator admired and quoted by people as diverse, but equally fond of rallies from pulpit balconies, as Adolf Hitler, António de Oliveira Salazar, Vladimir Putin or Donald Trump, the latter two adherents of the Mussolini´s faith "better to be a lion one day than a lamb a hundred days". The title of the film refers to the march held in Rome on 28 October 1922 by thousands of followers of fascism. It was during this event that Mussolini, leader of the National Fascist Party, was appointed Prime Minister by King Victor Manuel III (1869-1947).
